I acknowledge  the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands in which I live and work,
the Bidjigal and Gadigal people of the Eora nation. I pay my respect to the Elders, past, present and emerging, and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. Sovereignty was never ceded.

The works in this series are a cognitive development, the result of trying to understand the making of a painting. Previously I have used text to incorporate narrative into my work. With these paintings I have instead applied processes of building pictorial space to guide the works. This series though dissimilar in subject, is linked in attempts to realise the possibilities of the picture plane.

These paintings in their small affairs, have big dreams.
